Michelle received the Propel Postdoctoral Scholar. She aims to elucidate the metabolic pathway of choline and trimethylamine (TMA) production in nonpathogenic gut bacteria and consequently, contribute to the development of novel treatments for various cardiovascular diseases. Congrats, Michelle!

Kazuma received the Stanford Pediatric IBD and Celiac Disease Research Program Early Career Award. He will work on creating special probiotics that are designed to help children with pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Congrats, Kazuma!

Mass spectrometer (august 2018)
First big toy for the lab, a Q-TOF!! Somehow the TOF tube got lost during shipping, so we had to wait for a new one to be sent.
Aedan and Bi-Huei can't wait to start using the mass spec!!
